A big draw of becoming a teacher for many people is that they do not have to work during the summer time. This gives people the freedom to either get a summer job or simply enjoy their summer in the sun.

Another reason why people enter the teaching field, especially women, is that it is a very conducive job to those that expecting to have children. The hours are great because they coincide with the hours that the children will be at school as well, so a mother will be able to be with her kids most of the time and not have to miss out on a lot like many other jobs force mothers to do.

Another reason why people may decide to teach is simply because they love teaching children and love children. This is a great reason, as any person who feels this way about teaching will be a very devoted teacher and most likely a very good teacher whose students will learn a significant amount of information in a fun and interesting way.

Yet another reason why people enter the teaching career track is because of the benefits offered. While the salary is arguably not that great, especially when people factor in the fact that these individuals who are teachers are educating the youth of the country and should therefore get a much higher salary, the benefits accorded to teachers and their families are very generous. Any person who is in the work force know the value of benefits, and a really good package could be very valuable and end up saving someone a lot of money in the long run for health and dental costs.
